Campus Borongaj
Zagreb/2011 education Campus is like an independent island with its own working system. With its autonomy, purpose and atmosphere. As a unit it is a part within city and it communicates with its surrounding. There must be connections that will balance that communication. The idea of the green ring seen in City masterplan from 1965. shows that the ring is made out of different units with different characteristics: sometimes it is a park within housing neighborhood, sometimes maybe a public city park. Following that idea, the Campus has a central park that connects north and south. Faculty buildings are located by the park, making his border line. Sport terrains and sport buildings are following the east axis of the Campus. Small shops, student dormitories and cafe bars are located by the axis of movement through the Campus and they replace classical shopping malls that are not needed this way.
